Gail A. Rollins

Gail Rollins 1953 - 2012 WILLIAMSBURG - Gail Rollins, 58, of 98 Petticoat Hill Road in Williamsburg, died Friday, June 8, following a long illness. Gail is survived by her husband of 32 years, Rick Barnard, their children and their spouses, Emily Barnard & Chuck Bobala, Zack Barnard & Jin Chang, Gabe Rudd-Barnard & Lexi Rudd-Barnard, her parents Lorraine and Donald Rollins and her sisters Diane Farrell and Jan Rollins. Gail was born in East Longmeadow on June 23, 1953. She attended East Longmeadow schools and graduated from the School of Education at UMass. Gail loved kids and worked for the Mass Migrant Program in Holyoke, MA and in the Pediatrics Unit at The Northampton Nursing Home in Northampton. Gail was also the co-founder of The Baroco Corporation, the family business providing services to people with Developmental Disabilities throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut. Gail was a long time Board Member of the Pioneer Valley Ballet and for many years coordinated childcare for the Nutcracker at the Academy of Music. She also loved gardening, was an avid skier, and a member of the School Committee, active in the PTO. The funeral will be held on Saturday at 10am at the Unitarian Society located at 220 Main St in Northampton after which burial will take place at the Village Hill Cemetery in Williamsburg, followed by a reception at the family home. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Head Start, 393 Main St, Greenfield, MA 01301. The Ahearn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
