Janice Ouellette Cacciapuoti, 57, of West Milford, NJ passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. She was born in Springfield, MA to Sara Jean (Carew) and Robert Ouellette, December 8, 1953. Mrs. Cacciapuoti was a 1971 graduate of East Longmeadow High School. She earned a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst; a B.S. in Nursing from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, and a Masters of Education with a concentration in School Nurse Education from Cambridge College, MA. Janice worked for 17 years as a school nurse at West Milford High School where she was involved in the Relay For Life. She was an active member of the Newfoundland United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher, a Confirmation mentor and a member of various committees and missions. Janice was a strong supporter of ALL Boston sports teams, with a lifelong devotion to her beloved Boston Red Sox. Every year she attended the Boston Pops Fourth of July concert on the banks of the Charles River. A lifetime of generosity was highlighted by the personal attention she showed to others, and by her thoughtful giving of gifts and beautiful homemade crafts on every occasion and visit. She was a talented photographer, and was passionate about lighthouses, visiting more than 50 throughout the U.S. Janice is survived by her loving husband Anthony of 35 years, her dear sons Michael Cacciapuoti of West Milford and David Cacciapuoti and his fiancé Melissa Boring of Tustin, CA, her parents Robert and Sara Jean Ouellette and her sister Judith Brown of East Longmeadow, her brothers John Ouellette of Long-meadow and Thomas Ouellette and his wife Lisa of Vernon, CT, and her niece Dana Ouellette and nephews Jeffrey Brown and Nathan Ouellette. A memorial service to celebrate Janice's life will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Newfoundland United Methodist Church, 65 LaRue Road, Newfoundland, NJ.
