David A. Lariviere

David A. Lariviere, 63, of Hampden, MA, passed away February 11, 2014.  He was born January 5, 1951 to the late Rene and Irene Lariviere.  David was a graduate of East Longmeadow High School, and served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.  He was a self-employed carpenter in the area for many years.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, vacationing on Cape Cod, and was a member of the American Legion in East Longmeadow.  David also enjoyed collecting antiques and was an avid New England sports fan.  He was predeceased by his wife Constance (Walker) Lariviere on May 2, 2010.  David leaves his children:  Stephen Crafts and his wife Elizabeth of Wilbraham, John Crafts of Springfield, Scott Crafts of Stafford Springs, CT., Lynne Bottum and her husband Chad of Wilbraham, and Julie Rogers and her husband Mike of Somers, CT.  He also leaves his much loved grandchildren:  Courtney, Alex, Matt, Emily, Rachel, Braden, Norah and Chris.  David also leaves three brothers:  Raymond, Gerald and Dennis Lariviere, and two sisters Peggy Herman and Louise Grady, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Dave's life will be held Friday, at 12 noon at Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker Street, Springfield.  Calling hours will be held Friday fro 10 AM til noon.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH  45250.
