James C. Wilson, 40, of 331 Sunrise Way, Palm Springs, California, died Saturday, December 18 in Desert Hospital.  He was the assistant manager of the Palm Springs Marquis Hotel.  He previously held management positions in Los Angeles and here.

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 19, 1953, he was a 1971 graduate of East Longmeadow High School in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.  Jim had lived in California since 1978.

He was predeceased by his father, David in 1992, and is survived by his mother, Mary (West) Wilson of East Longmeadow, and a brother, Wayne D. of Wilbraham, Massachusetts.  The funeral will be on Friday morning, December 24, at Hafey East Longmeadow Chapels and St. Mark's Episcopal Church, with burial at the Island Pond Cemetery in Ludlow, Mass.  Calling hours aer on Thursday afternoon and evening.
